About the JDRF Promise Ball 2008
"A Million Wishes for a Cure, Under the Tuscan Sun"

Each year JDRF's North Central CT and Western MA Chapter hosts a renowned and distinctive event: The Promise Ball. This annual gala continues to grow, both in attendance and in its outstanding fundraising results. In 2007, the Promise Ball drew more than 800 guests from Connecticut and Massachusetts and, overall, raised a record-breaking $1.35 million for research to find a cure for diabetes and its complications.

The 2008 Promise Ball, "A Million Wishes for a Cure, Under the Tuscan Sun," will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 6pm at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. The event includes:

• Elegant black-tie (optional) cocktail reception and silent and super silent auctions.
• Multi-course gourmet dinner prepared by the Convention Center's talented Executive Chef, Roger Morgan.
• Presentation of the Star of Hope Award to our 2008 Honoree, Stephen N. Finger, President of Pratt & Whitney.
• Live auction of exceptional items and packages.
• JDRF's signature Fund A Cure auction.
• Dancing 'till Midnight with Boston band "Stardust."
